2. RECRUITMENT OF MARITIME SECURITY TEAM

SISA security operatives are considered for recruitment into the company through personal recommendation and after a rigorous initial assessment of basic skills and background check is made.

Each applicant meets the following criteria as a minimum before they can be considered for operational deployment:

Stage 1
Proof Military service history is checked CV including relevant skills for Maritime Security role Aged between 21 and 50.

Stage 2 - Certification / Qualification Investigation

  • Criminal Record Check
  • Certificate of Marine Basic Training in the applicants native is checked
  • Service Discharge Certificate (Service Discharge Reference)
  • Ship Security Officer Certificate (SSO)
  • STCW 95
  • All four modules Passport with at least 1 year remaining validity
  • Seaman's Book with at least 1 year remaining validity
  • Seafarers Medical
  • Yellow Fever vaccination certificate
  • Mental Health Assessment
  • Firearms Competency Course (Cannot be provided in India)

*** It is completely illegal to provide training on 7.62x39mm calibre weapons in India. Those who are claiming to conduct such a course are doing so against the law. We can arrange such course on bolt action rifles in Pune at a separate cost. ***

Stage 3 - Interview

Successful applicants will be interviewed to establish whether they are suitable to join the SISA family.
